Electoral Commission's decision on application

1 If there are no grounds under section 204M to refuse an application by a promoter to be registered, the Electoral Commission must, as soon as is reasonably practicable after receiving the application,— a register the promoter; and b notify the person who made the application of the date of registration of the promoter. 2 If there are grounds under section 204M to refuse an application, the Electoral Commission must, as soon as is reasonably practicable after receiving the application,— a refuse the application; and b notify the person who made the application of the refusal and the reasons. 2007 No 111 s 18 Section 204N : inserted , on 1 January 2011 , by section 7 of the Electoral (Finance Reform and Advance Voting) Amendment Act 2010 (2010 No 137).
