Power to remove name from roll

Where, within 14 days after the day on which a notice under section 95A(1) or section 96(2) is served on the person objected to,— a the person objected to; or b the person who, under section 12(1) of the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 , is the welfare guardian for the person objected to; or c the attorney appointed by the person objected to under an enduring power of attorney,— either fails to provide evidence of eligibility to be on the roll or notifies the Electoral Commission that he or she consents to the removal from the roll of the name of the person objected to, the Electoral Commission must , unless the objection has been withdrawn by the objector, remove from the roll the name of the person objected to and must notify the parties accordingly.
