Delegation of Director of Mental Health’s functions under sections 86AAB, 86AAC, and 86AAD

1 The Director of Mental Health may delegate to 1 or more Directors of Area Mental Health Services or compulsory care co-ordinators any or all of the functions of the Director of Mental Health under sections 86AAB , 86AAC , and 86AAD . 2 Subject to any directions or conditions imposed by the Director of Mental Health, a Director of Area Mental Health Services or compulsory care co-ordinator to whom the functions of the Director of Mental Health are delegated under this section may carry out those functions in the same manner and with the same effect as if they had been conferred on the Director of Area Mental Health Services or compulsory care co-ordinator directly by sections 86AAB , 86AAC , and 86AAD . 3 A delegation must be in writing and may be revoked at any time. 4 In this section,— compulsory care co-ordinator means a co-ordinator within the meaning of section 5(1) of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 Director of Area Mental Health Services means a person appointed as a Director of Area Mental Health Services under section 92 of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992 .
