Inspection of party rules

Members of the public are entitled to inspect the following without payment at any time between 9 am and 5 pm on any day on which the office of the Electoral Commission is open: a copies of the rules referred to in section 63(2)(da) accompanying a political party’s application for registration; and b copies of any changes to those rules supplied by the secretary of a political party to the Electoral Commission under section 71B . Section 71BA : inserted , on 1 January 2026 , by section 61 of the Electoral Amendment Act 2025 (2025 No 82).
