Article ( 113) 1. Except in cases of being caught in the act, a Member of the Shura Council shall not be arrested, detained, searched or subject to investigation without prior permission from the Council. Where the Council has not issued a decision on the request for permission within a period of one (1) month from the date of receipt of the said request, this shall be virtually considered as a permission. The permission shall be issued by the Speaker of the Council when the latter is not in session. 2. In the case of flagrante delicto, the Council must be notified of the measures taken against the offending Member; and where the Council is not in session, such notification should be made at the first subsequent session. -53-
