Provision text
Official source(1) When an elected Senator vacates his or
her seat for any of the reasons provided
for in Article 82 of this Constitution, he
or she is replaced in accordance with
provisions of the organic law governing
elections.
(2) When an appointed Senator vacates his
or her seat for any of the reasons
provided for in Article 82 of this
Constitution, the appointing authority
designates his or her replacement.
(3) The newly elected or appointed Senator
completes the term of office of his or her
predecessor. He or she is eligible for
another term of office.
