Dissolution of the Chamber of Deputies due to serious matters of

national concern (1) Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 79 of this Constitution, the President of the Republic, after consultation with the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, the President of the Senate and the President of the Supreme Court, may dissolve the Chamber of Deputies due to serious matters of national concern. (2) Election of Deputies takes place within 90 days following the dissolution of the Chamber of Deputies due to serious matters of national concern. The elected Deputies serve the remainder of the term of office. (3) The President of the Republic cannot dissolve, more than once during his or her term of office, the Chamber of Deputies due to serious matters of national concern. (4) The Senate cannot be dissolved.
