Article 56 Whenever the President - a. is going to be absent from Seychelles; or b. by reason of illness which the President considers will be of short duration, considers it desirable to do so, the President may, by instrument in writing, subject to such restrictions and exceptions - as the President may specify in the instrument, request the Minister designated to discharge the functions of the office of President under Article 75 to discharge those functions during the period of the absence or illness.
