Statute overview

About this statute

This part sets application, licensing, operating, safety, storage, reporting, and emergency-response rules for brine-hosted mineral resource wells and facilities. Licensees must prevent and report spills, follow spill cleanup and waste rules, meet air-emissions and blowout-prevention requirements, keep required records and samples, and obey setback and safety rules near wells and facilities. This provision lets the Regulator waive or vary scheduled fees, sets how garnishment notices and other notices/orders may be served, requires a payor to forward garnished money or revenue with specified information, and lists fees, expiry, and commencement rules.
