APPROPRIATION (SUPPLEMENTARY SUPPLY) ACT, 2026 Chapter 2 MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN: Preamble WHEREAS it appears by a Message from Her Honour Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Alberta, and the Supplementary Supply Estimates accompanying the Message, that the sums hereinafter mentioned are required to defray certain charges and expenses of the Public Service of Alberta not otherwise provided for during the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026 and for other purposes relating thereto: MAY IT THEREFORE PLEASE YOUR MAJESTY that it be enacted and be it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, as follows: Legislative Assembly 1 From the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum of $18 170 000 towards defraying the further charges and expenses of the Legislative Assembly for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, not otherwise provided for, as shown in the Schedule. Expense 2 From the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum of $326 164 000 towards defraying the further charges and expenses of the Public Service classed as expense for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, not otherwise provided for, as shown in the Schedule. Capital Investment 3 From the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum of $17 843 000 towards defraying the further charges and expenses of the Public Service classed as capital investment for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, not otherwise provided for, as shown in the Schedule. Financial Transactions 4 From the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum of $202 200 000 towards defraying the further charges and expenses of the Public Service classed as financial transactions for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, not otherwise provided for, as shown in the Schedule. Transfers 5 ( 1) The sum of $721 289 000 in the expense vote of the Department of Hospital and Surgical Health Services is transferred to the expense vote of the Department of Assisted Living and Social Services. (2) The sum of $7 283 000 in the expense vote of the Department of Arts, Culture and Status of Women is transferred to the expense vote of the Department of Children and Family Services. (3) The sum of $2 100 000 in the expense vote of the Department of Arts, Culture and Status of Women is transferred to the expense vote of the Department of Justice. (4) The sum of $1 550 000 in the expense vote of the Department of Arts, Culture and Status of Women is transferred to the expense vote of the Department of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration. (5) The sum of $1 213 000 in the expense vote of the Department of Arts, Culture and Status of Women is transferred to the expense vote of the Department of Indigenous Relations. (6) The sum of $1 050 000 in the expense vote of the Department of Arts, Culture and Status of Women is transferred to the expense vote of the Department of Advanced Education. Accountability 6 The due application of all money expended under this Act shall be accounted for.
