R117 Regulation 48/2026 Registered June 16, 2026 bilingual version (HTML) Definition 1 In this regulation, "Act" means The Regulated Health Professions Act . Designation 2 Massage therapy is designated as a regulated health profession for the purposes of the Act. Scope of practice 3 The practice of massage therapy is the application of knowledge, skill and judgment to (a) assess the soft tissues and joints of the body; and (b) treat and prevent physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissues and joints by manipulation to (i) develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function to relieve pain, or (ii) promote health. College 4 The College of Massage Therapists of Manitoba is hereby established under clause 8(b) of the Act for the regulated health profession of massage therapy.
