This regulation designates park reserves, sets how they are categorized and for how long, and requires a ministerial review by January 1, 2004.

Designation of park reserves 2 The lands described in the second column of the Schedule are designated as park reserves and each has the name given to it in the first column of the Schedule opposite the description. Land use categories 3(1) Subsections 7(3) and (5) of the Act apply to lands designated as park reserves. 3(2) The lands within each park reserve are categorized as set out in the third column of the Schedule opposite the name of the reserve. M.R. 16/2008 Designation period 4 Each park reserve is designated for the period of time set out in the fourth column of the Schedule. Reference to plan 5 Except as otherwise provided, a reference in the Schedule to a "Plan" is a reference to the plan of that number filed in the office of the Director of Surveys at Winnipeg. Review 6 Not later than January 1, 2004, the minister shall (a) review the effectiveness of the regulation after consulting with such persons affected by the regulation as the minister considers appropriate; and (b) if the minister considers it advisable, recommend to the Lieutenant Governor in Council that the regulation be amended or repealed. Repeal 7 The Park Reserves Designation Regulation, Manitoba Regulation 35/97, is repealed. Coming into force 8 This regulation comes into force on April 1, 1999.
