Health authorities and related funded bodies may charge certain patients for specified health services, subject to the regulation’s conditions and exceptions.

Reg. 46/93, but does not include services for which a person other than the person receiving the services is responsible for providing payment; (« services de santé exclus ») "hospital" means a hospital designated under the Hospitals Designation Regulation , Man. Reg. 47/93; (« hôpital ») "insured services" means services for which a benefit is payable under The Health Services Insurance Act; (« services assurés ») "personal care home" means a personal care home designated under the Personal Care Homes Designation Regulation , Man. Reg. 108/2000; (« foyer de soins personnels ») "land emergency medical response services" means the services set out at subclause (b)⁠(iv) of the definition "land emergency medical response services" in the Land Emergency Medical Response System Regulation , Manitoba Regulation 22/2006; (« services terrestres d'intervention médicale d'urgence ») "psychiatric facility" means a psychiatric faciilty designated under the Facilities Designation Regulation , Man. (« centre psychiatrique ») M.R. 154/2016 ; 34/2022 ; 84/2022 AUTHORIZED CHARGES Authorized charges for hospital and personal care services 2(1) When a health authority, or a health corporation that receives funding from a health authority, operates a hospital or a personal care home, the authority or corporation may charge a person who receives insured services in the hospital or personal care home the fees authorized by (a) the Personal Care Services Insurance and Administration Regulation , Man. Reg. 52/93; and (b) the Hospital Services Insurance and Administration Regulation , Man. Reg. 48/93. 2(2) A health authority or a health corporation that operates a psychiatric facility may charge a person who receives care and treatment in the psychiatric facility the fees authorized by the Charges Payable by Long Term Care Patients Regulation , Man. Reg. 155/97. M.R. 34/2022 Authorized charges for EMR services 2.1 A health authority or a health corporation, health care organization or other person or body that receives funding from a health authority may, if it is a licence holder under the Land Emergency Medical Response System Regulation , Manitoba Regulation 22/2006, charge directly to a person who receives land emergency medical response services the fees authorized under The Emergency Medical Response and Stretcher Transportation Act . (or any subsequent body corporate that manages the birth centre located at 603 St. Mary's Road in the City of Winnipeg) is prescribed as a health corporation.
