This regulation prohibits damaging property, erecting or occupying structures or encampments, lighting fires, certain vehicle use, displaying weapons, and fireworks in the legislative precinct, unless authorized by the chief legislative security officer.

Removing or damaging property 2 A person must not remove, deface or damage any property in the legislative precinct. Erecting structures 3 A person must not construct, place or erect any structure, including a tent or other portable shelter, in the legislative precinct. Encampments 4(1) A person must not occupy a tent or other portable shelter in the legislative precinct. 4(2) A person must not deposit items, such as generators, portable toilets, firewood or trailers, in the legislative precinct that would support persons staying in the legislative precinct for an extended period. Fires 5 A person must not set, light or maintain a fire in the legislative precinct. Vehicle operation 6 A person must not (a) park or drive a vehicle on an unpaved area of the legislative precinct; (b) park or drive a vehicle in a location or manner that interferes with public access to the Legislative Building; (c) park a vehicle in a location or manner that interferes with the normal flow of traffic in the legislative precinct; (d) drive a vehicle at a speed or in a manner that impedes or blocks the normal flow of traffic in the legislative precinct. Displaying weapons 7 A person must not brandish or display a weapon in the legislative precinct. Fireworks 8 A person must not set off any fireworks in the legislative precinct. Authorization by chief legislative security officer 9(1) The chief legislative security officer may issue a written authorization that enables a person to engage in any conduct that is prohibited by this regulation, subject to any restrictions or conditions set out in the authorization. 9(2) A person who engages in conduct that is the subject of an authorization under subsection (1) does not contravene a provision of this regulation if the person complies with all conditions or restrictions set out in that authorization. Coming into force 10 This regulation comes into force on the same day that The Legislative Security Amendment Act , S.M. 2022, c. 16, comes into force.
