A95 Regulation 111/98 Registered June 30, 1998 bilingual version (HTML) Species and kinds of animals prescribed as livestock 1(1) The following species and kinds of animals are prescribed as livestock for the purposes of The Animal Liability Act : Bos taurus (domestic cattle) Bos indicus (humped cattle) Bos americanus (plains bison) Bos athabascae (wood bison) Gallus gallus domesticus (domestic chicken) Meleagris gallopavo (domestic turkey) Anas platyrhynchos (domestic duck) Anser anser (domestic goose) Dromiceius novae-hollandiae (emu) Struthio camelus (ostrich) Ovis aries (domestic sheep) Sus scrofa (domestic pig) Sus scrofa (wild boar) Elk that are game production animals within the meaning of The Livestock Industry Diversification Act Capra hircus (goat) Oryctolagus cuniculus (rabbit) Mustela vison (mink) Chinchilla laniger (chinchilla) Lama glama (llama) Lama pacos (alpaca) 1(2) The following species and kinds of animals, when kept for any of the purposes set out in clauses (a) and (b) of the definition "livestock" in section 1 of The Animal Liability Act or in subsection (3), are prescribed as livestock for the purposes of that Act: Equus caballus (domestic horse) 1(3) For the purpose of subsection (2), herding or other farm work are prescribed purposes for which horses may be kept as livestock. Coming into force 2 This regulation comes into force on the day that The Animal Liability Act , C.C.S.M. c. A95, comes into force.
