This regulation sets the fees for fishing licences and permits, including GST where applicable, and ties commencement to a later amendment Act.

F90 Regulation 119/97 Registered May 26, 1997 bilingual version (HTML) Definitions 1(1) In this regulation, "block" means a block shown on a Plan of Survey 17278A as filed in the office of the Director of Surveys at Winnipeg; (« bloc ») "Canadian resident" means a person who is one or more of the following: (a) a Canadian citizen, (b) a permanent resident within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada), (c) a person whose primary residence is in Canada and who has lived in Canada for at least six consecutive months during the 12-month period immediately before the person applies for a licence or permit under the Act, but does not include a Manitoba resident; (« résident du Canada ») "Division" means a Division of the Province of Manitoba enumerated and described in Plan of Survey 18297D filed in the office of the Director of Surveys at Winnipeg; (« division ») "GST" means the tax payable under Part IX of the Excise Tax Act (Canada). (« TPS ») "Manitoba resident" means a person whose primary residence is in Manitoba and who has lived in Manitoba for at least six consecutive months during the 12-month period immediately before the person applies for a licence or permit under the Act; (« résident du Manitoba ») "non-Canadian resident" means a person who is not a Manitoba resident or a Canadian resident. (« non-résident du Canada ») 1(2) Words and expressions that (a) are used but not defined in this regulation; and (b) are defined in the Fishing Licensing Regulation , M.R. 124/97; have the same meaning in this regulation as those words and expressions have in that regulation.
