This regulation prescribes the forms used for tickets and related documents under The Provincial Offences Act, and sets when the regulation starts to apply.

PRESCRIBED TICKETS Ticket for general use 2 Form 1 of the Schedule is prescribed as the ticket for use under section 7 of the Act, other than (a) for photo enforcement offences under section 9 of the Act; and (b) for parking offences described in sections 5 and 6 of this regulation. Computer-generated ticket 3(1) The form represented in Form 2 of the Schedule is prescribed as a computer-generated ticket for use under section 7 of the Act, other than (a) for photo enforcement offences under section 9 of the Act; and (b) for parking offences described in sections 5 and 6 of this regulation. 3(2) The content of Form 2 is shown for reference purposes, as explained in subsections (3) and (4). The content is dependent on the particular offence for which it is used. 3(3) Form 2 contains five blank areas enclosed by single-line borders and labelled "Box A", "Box B", "Box C", "Box D" and "Box E". The boxed areas may contain the following information: Box A may contain the address of the person charged with the offence and, if the alleged offence was committed in connection with a vehicle, (a) the numbers and letters shown on the licence plate; (b) the driver's licence or permit number of the person operating the vehicle. Box B may contain a statement that a vehicle owner is being charged as owner not driver of the vehicle in accordance with section 229 of The Highway Traffic Act or section 122 of The Drivers and Vehicles Act. Box C may contain the number of the provision of the Act or regulation that the person charged is alleged to have contravened. Box D may contain a statement of the speed at which a vehicle is alleged to have been travelling at the time of an offence and the maximum permissible posted speed. Box E may contain the title of the Act or regulation that the person charged is alleged to have contravened. 3(4) The labels for the five boxes in Form 2 do not appear in a completed computer-generated ticket, and the content of any completed boxed area shown on such a ticket does not form part of the prescribed form. Photo enforcement tickets 4 For the purpose of section 9 of the Act (photo enforcement tickets), (a) Form 3 of the Schedule is prescribed as the ticket for an offence under subsection 88(7) or (9) of The Highway Traffic Act (red light offences); and (b) Form 4 of the Schedule is prescribed as the ticket for an offence under subsection 95(1) of The Highway Traffic Act (speeding offences). Parking ticket — provincial parks 5 The form set out in Schedule C to the Park Activities Regulation , Manitoba Regulation 141/96, is prescribed as the ticket for parking offences under The Provincial Parks Act and the regulations under that Act. Parking ticket — Public Works Act 6 The form set out in Schedule C to the Traffic Control Devices on Crown Lands, Vehicle Identification Devices and Tickets Regulation, Manitoba Regulation 90/89, is prescribed as the ticket for parking offences under The Public Works Act and the regulations under that Act. OTHER PRESCRIBED FORMS Information 7 Form 5 of the Schedule is prescribed for use under section 23 of the Act (completing an information). Summons 8 Form 6 of the Schedule is prescribed for use under section 25 of the Act (summons to appear). Promise to appear 9 Form 7 of the Schedule is prescribed for use under subsection 49(7) of the Act (promise to appear). Appearance notice 10 Form 8 of the Schedule is prescribed for use under section 31 of the Act (appearance notice). COMING INTO FORCE Coming into force 11 This regulation comes into force on the same day that The Provincial Offences Act , S.M. 2013, c. 47, Schedule A, comes into force.
