Teachers' Pensions Contribution Rates Regulation, M.R. 141/2011 The Teachers' Pensions Act , C.C.S.M. c. T20 Regulation 141/2011 Registered August 30, 2011 bilingual version (HTML) Definition 1 In this regulation, " Act " means The Teachers' Pensions Act . Contribution — Canada pensionable earnings 2 For the purpose of clause 52(1)⁠(a) of the Act, the percentage of a teacher's Canada pensionable earnings for a year which he or she must contribute to the fund is (a) 6.8% until August 31, 2012; (b) 7.3% for the period beginning September 1, 2012 and ending August 31, 2013; (c) 7.8% for the period beginning September 1, 2013 and ending August 31, 2014; (d) 8.3% for the period beginning September 1, 2014 and ending August 31, 2015; and (e) 8.8% after August 31, 2015. Contribution — pensionable salary in excess of Canada pensionable earnings 3 For the purpose of clause 52(1)⁠(b) of the Act, the percentage of a teacher's pensionable salary for a year in excess of Canada pensionable earnings for the year which he or she must contribute to the fund is (a) 8.4% until August 31, 2012; (b) 8.9% for the period beginning September 1, 2012 and ending August 31, 2013; (c) 9.4% for the period beginning September 1, 2013 and ending August 31, 2014; (d) 9.9% for the period beginning September 1, 2014 and ending August 31, 2015; and (e) 10.4% after August 31, 2015.
