Interpretation 2 The numbered "parishes", "settlements", "lots", "sections", "townships", and "ranges" referred to in this regulation, are parishes, settlements, lots, sections, townships, and ranges in Manitoba, according to those systems of survey used by the Government of Manitoba and authorized by the Dominion Lands Surveys Act (Canada) (now repealed) or by The Surveys Act . Meaning of "parish" 3 "Parish" in this regulation includes the river lots and lots in the outer two miles, as they are shown on official maps or plans of record in the office of the Director of Surveys appointed under The Surveys Act , and in the offices of the land titles districts established under The Real Property Act . Territorial limits on rivers and streams 4 The territorial limits of every LUD bordering on any river or stream include one-half of the river or stream adjacent to the LUD and extend to the centre of the river or stream, and if the territory of any LUD extends on both sides of any river or stream, the whole of the surface and bed of that part of the river or stream that lies within the borders of the LUD is part of the LUD. Territorial limits on government road allowance 5 Where a LUD's boundaries are defined by parcels, all or any portion of a government road allowance located on the western or southern limit of the LUD or entirely within the boundaries of the LUD is included within the territory of that LUD except: (a) where all or a portion of a government road allowance is expressly excepted from the territory of that LUD; or (b) where all or a portion of a government road allowance is located between the township system of survey and another form of a referencing system of survey, then that government road allowance or the portion of it is included within the territory of the LUD which is described by the township system of survey irrespective of the location of the government road allowance. Formation and boundaries of LUDs 6 A LUD named in a section heading in Schedule A is formed as a LUD and has the area or boundaries described in that section. Continuation of LUDs 7 A LUD named in Column 1 of Schedule B is continued as a LUD, and is situated within the Rural Municipality listed opposite it in Column 2. 8 [Repealed] M.R. 172/2007 Coming into force 9 This regulation comes into force on January 1, 2000. SCHEDULE A (Section 6) LUD of Ninette 1 In the RM of Prairie Lakes, all those portions of the NW ¼ of Section 18 and the SW ¼ of Section 19 in Township 5 - 16 WPM lying NW of Pelican Lake; and all those portions of the NE ¼ of Section 13 not covered by the waters of Pelican Lake and all SE ¼ Section 24 in Township 5 - 17 WPM.
