C120 Regulation 178/2011 Registered November 14, 2011 bilingual version (HTML) Definition 1 In this regulation, " Act " means The Civil Service Superannuation Act . Contribution — Canada pensionable earnings 2 For the purpose of clause 17(1)⁠(a) of the Act, the percentage of an employee's Canada pensionable earnings for a year which the employee must contribute to the fund is (a) 8.0% for pay periods ending before April 1, 2026; (b) 8.5% for pay periods ending on or after April 1, 2026, but before April 1, 2027; (c) 9.0% for pay periods ending on or after April 1, 2027, but before April 1, 2028; (d) 9.5% for pay periods ending on or after April 1, 2028, but before December 31, 2028; and (e) 10%, for pay periods ending after 2028. M.R. 15/2026 Contribution — pensionable salary in excess of Canada pensionable earnings 3 For the purpose of clause 17(1)⁠(b) of the Act, the percentage of an employee's salary for a year in excess of Canada pensionable earnings for the year which the employee must contribute to the fund is (a) 9.0% for pay periods ending before April 1, 2026; (b) 9.5% for pay periods ending on or after April 1, 2026, but before April 1, 2027; (c) 10.0% for pay periods ending on or after April 1, 2027, but before April 1, 2028; (d) 10.5% for pay periods ending on or after April 1, 2028, but before December 31, 2028; and (e) 11%, for pay periods ending after 2028.
