"Act" means The Child and Family Services Act . («  Loi  ») "First Nation " means a band within the meaning of the Indian Act (Canada). (« Première nation ») "General Authority" means the General Child and Family Services Authority established under The Child and Family Services Authorities Act . (« Régie générale ») "Metis Authority" means the Metis Child and Family Services Authority established under The Child and Family Services Authorities Act . (« Régie des Métis ») "Northern Authority" means the First Nations of Northern Manitoba Child and Family Services Authority established under The Child and Family Services Authorities Act . (« Régie du Nord ») "Southern Authority" means the Southern First Nations Network of Care established under The Child and Family Services Authorities Act . (« Régie du Sud ») M.R. 4/2016 Mandates to agencies from authorities 2 In accordance with the Act, the agencies referred to in Schedules A to D are mandated by the authorities as specified in the Schedules for the purpose of providing child and family services under this Act and The Adoption Act to persons for whom the authority is responsible to provide services under section 17 of The Child and Family Services Authorities Act . M.R. 55/2005 Coming into force 3 This regulation comes into force on the day The Child and Family Services Authorities Act , S.M. 2002, c. 35, comes into force. SCHEDULE A NORTHERN AUTHORITY Awasis Agency of Northern Manitoba 1 Awasis Agency of Northern Manitoba is mandated by the Northern Authority to provide child and family services throughout Manitoba. Cree Nation Child and Family Caring Agency 2 Cree Nation Child and Family Caring Agency is mandated by the Northern Authority to provide child and family services throughout Manitoba. Island Lake First Nations Family Services 3 Island Lake First Nations Family Services is mandated by the Northern Authority to provide child and family services throughout Manitoba. Kinosao Sipi Minisowin Agency 4 Kinosao Sipi Minisowin Agency is mandated by the Northern Authority to provide child and family services throughout Manitoba. Nikan Awasisak Agency 4.1 Nikan Awasisak Agency is mandated by the Northern Authority to provide child and family services throughout Manitoba. M.R. 115/2025 Winnipeg, Rural and Northern Child and Family Services (regional office) 5 Winnipeg, Rural and Northern Child and Family Services, a regional office, is mandated by the General Authority to provide child and family services throughout Manitoba except within the boundaries of the following agencies: (a) Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba; (b) Child and Family Services of Central Manitoba; (c) [repealed] M.R. 64/2012 . M.R. 64/2012
