Oath of office 2 For the purpose of subsection 20(1) of the Act, a person elected or appointed to be a council member must take and sign, by oath or solemn affirmation, the oath of office set out in the Schedule to this regulation. Exemption re information not to be available on the Internet 2.1 In accordance with clause 28(5)⁠(a) of the Act, The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba is exempted from the application of subsection 28(4) of the Act. M.R. 6/2019 Use of term "college" 3 The following are hereby exempted from the application of clause 79(1)⁠(c) of the Act: (a) the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists; (b) the College of Family Physicians of Canada; (c) the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Exception re registered 4 The following organizations are specified for the purpose of clause 81(2)⁠(a) of the Act: (a) the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Inc.; (b) the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists; (c) the Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals; (d) the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists; (e) [repealed] M.R. 115/2025 ; (f) the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba Inc; (g) the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association. M.R. 115/2025 College website information 5 For the purpose of clause 143(1)⁠(d) of the Act, the following information is to be included on a college's website: (a) the college's duty and mandate; (b) the scope of practice statement for the regulated health profession; (c) a list of the reserved acts that the members of the regulated health profession are authorized to perform; (d) the contact information for general inquiries about the college, including its mailing address, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address; (e) the normal business hours for the college; (f) the officials directory; (g) the process for accessing information on the college's registers; (h) the college's registration practices and internal review or appeal processes; (i) the process for making a complaint about a member's conduct; (j) subject to subsection 129(3) and section 130 of the Act, a decision or order of a panel of the inquiry committee under section 129 of the Act. This is in addition to the information required to be posted on the college's website by subsection 143(1) of the Act.
