N100 Regulation 252/2006 Registered December 19, 2006 bilingual version (HTML) Table of Contents Section 1 Maximum honorarium: mayor 2 Maximum honorarium: councillor 2.1 Effective for fiscal year 2025–2026 3 Monthly payments 3.1 Per diems and expenses 4 Repeal 5 Coming into force Maximum honorarium: mayor 1 The maximum monthly honorarium payable to a mayor of a community that is not incorporated is the amount specified in the following table: Population of Community Honorarium 0 to 74 $250 75 to 150 $320 151 to 300 $340 301 and greater $400 Maximum honorarium: councillor 2 The maximum monthly honorarium payable to a councillor of a community that is not incorporated is the amount specified in the following table: Population of Community Honorarium 0 to 74 $215 75 to 150 $270 151 to 300 $290 301 and greater $350 Effective for fiscal year 2025-2026 2.1 The amounts specified in the tables in sections 1 and 2 are effective for the 2025-2026 fiscal year and afterwards. M.R. 65/2008 ; 13/2026 Monthly payments 3 If an honorarium is paid to a mayor or councillor, it must be paid on a monthly basis. Per diems and expenses 3.1 In respect of a member attending to community business outside of the community boundary, a council that pays (a) a per diem to the member must ensure that the per diem does not exceed $170 per day or $170 pro rated, if the community business requires less than a full work day; and (b) the living and travel expenses of the member, must ensure that the maximum rates that may be paid, including allowances based on distance travelled, do not exceed the amounts or rates payable to persons in the service of, or performing services on behalf of, the government. M.R. 21/2010 ; 13/2026 Repeal 4 The Northern Affairs Honorarium Regulation , Manitoba Regulation 69/2002, is repealed. Coming into force 5 This regulation comes into force on the same day that The Northern Affairs Act , S.M. 2006, c. 34, comes into force.
