M.R. 208/97; 65/2021 Reimbursement for expenses 2(1) A juror who does not reside in the urban centre in which the trial is conducted is entitled to reimbursement for the following: (a) if the juror travels to court by motor vehicle, travel costs at the current rate payable to government employees per kilometre travelled based on the distance to and from the person's residence to the court house; (b) meals and accommodation, at current rates payable to government employees; (c) parking expenses. 2(2) A claim for reimbursement of expenses under clause (1)⁠(b) and (c) must be supported by receipts or proof of expenses incurred. 2(3) A sheriff may authorize the reimbursement of additional expenses not set out in subsection (1) if the sheriff determines that the expenses are reasonable in the circumstances.
