In these regulations, "Act" means the Public Utilities Act . 40/23 s2 Back to Top Threshold amount 3. For the purposes of subsection 41(3) of the Act, a public utility shall not proceed with the construction, purchase or lease of improvements or additions to its property without the prior approval of the board where (a) the cost of the construction or purchase is in excess of $750,000; or (b) the cost of the lease over the expected life of the lease is in excess of $750,000. 40/23 s3 Back to Top Commencement 4.
