About this statute

This part sets out who must inspect and maintain boilers, pressure vessels and plants, when certificates are needed, and when inspectors can shut down or seal unsafe equipment. This provision sets inspection, reporting, certification, safety, appeal, and penalty rules for boilers, pressure vessels, plants, and related certificates. The Commissioner may, on the Minister’s recommendation, adopt by regulation a code of rules or standards for this Act’s subject matter if the code is published by an association, person, or body and is available in printed form.
