The Plan must make special payments to eligible physicians in Ontario for each listed period, and each payment amount must be calculated using the Ministry document named in the section.
Special payment 1. (1) A special payment is payable by the Plan to every physician in Ontario who, (a) rendered one or more insured services on or after April 1, 2017 and before April 1, 2018; or (b) received a payment pursuant to an arrangement under clause 2 (2) (a) of the Act on or after April 1, 2017 and before April 1, 2018. (2) The amount of the special payment shall be calculated in accordance with the document of the Ministry entitled “Method for the Implementation of 2017/18 Compensation Increases in the 2019 Ministry Of Health (Ministry) And Ontario Medical Association (OMA) Arbitration Award”.
