Statute overview

About this statute

This part sets definitions and rules for air pollution modelling, contaminant standards, and Director notices, including notice-and-submission procedures. This part sets rules for approved dispersion models, air-emission standards, and reporting when contaminants are discharged into the air. This provision requires certain air-pollution reporters and dischargers to keep, submit, publish, and update reports and notices, and gives the Director power to require additional reporting and abatement plans. A person seeking a site-specific air pollution standard must usually hold a public meeting, give advance notices and materials, and follow Director directions; the Director can approve, condition, amend, or revoke standards and registrations. This provision sets notice, compliance, and emission-control rules for persons, and gives the Director and Minister notice and curtailment powers.
