About this statute

This part lists consumer-protection exemptions and sets disclosure, refund, and no-expiry rules for certain consumer agreements, including gift card agreements. This provision sets disclosure, delivery, cancellation, refund, and record-keeping rules for consumer agreements, direct agreements, remote agreements, loan brokering agreements, and credit repair agreements. Vehicle repairers must give written estimates and invoices, post required consumer information, and not charge more than 10% above a written estimate or for work the consumer did not authorize. This provision sets disclosure, receipt, cancellation, lease, and public-record rules for certain consumer transactions and leasing matters. This section says what information is prescribed for complaint and inspection records, and sets conditions for when complaint information applies.
