FEES FOR CENTRAL BARGAINING FOR THE 2015-2016 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR
School authorities and district school boards must pay specified fees for the 2015-2016 school board fiscal year, and late payment triggers notice and possible loss of voting entitlement until payment is made.
Application 1. This Regulation sets out the employer bargaining agency fees to be paid by school authorities and district school boards for the 2015-2016 school board fiscal year for the activities of trustees’ associations under the Act. School authorities 2. (1) Every school authority shall pay a fee of $1,000 to the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association for the 2015-2016 school board fiscal year. (2) Despite subsection (1), the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre School Authority is not required to pay fees for the 2015-2016 school board fiscal year. District school boards 3. Every district school board shall pay a fee to the applicable trustees’ association for the 2015-2016 school board fiscal year, as follows: 1. An English-language public district school board shall pay $43,316 to the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association. 2. An English-language separate district school board shall pay $43,017 to the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association. 3. A French-language public district school board shall pay $233,628 to l’Association des conseils scolaires des écoles publiques de l’Ontario. 4. A French-language separate district school board shall pay $129,854 to l’Association franco-ontarienne des conseils scolaires catholiques. Consequences of non-payment 4. (1) Every school authority and district school board shall pay the fee required under section 2 or 3 on or before October 15, 2015. (2) If a school authority or district school board does not pay the required fee on or before October 15, 2015, the affected trustees’ association shall notify every board it represents of this fact. (3) If a school authority or district school board does not pay the required fee on or before November 15, 2015, the affected trustees’ association shall notify every board it represents, and the Crown, of this fact, and the school authority or district school board forfeits its entitlement to participate in a vote described in subsection 21 (4) of the Act starting on the day the notice is given. (4) If a school authority or district school board that forfeited its entitlement to participate in a vote described in subsection 21 (4) of the Act subsequently pays the required fee, the trustees’ association shall notify every board it represents, and the Crown, of this fact within 14 days after receiving the payment, and the entitlement to participate in such votes is reinstated on the earlier of, (a) the day the trustees’ association gives the notice; and (b) 14 days after the trustees’ association receives payment of the fee in full. 5.
