W-4.1, Council made the following regulations: 1. Wildlife Conservation Fund (1) The Wildlife Conservation Fund is continued pursuant to the Wildlife Conservation Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. W-4.1. Fees (2) Subject to subsection (2.1), every person who obtains a license or a permit for angling, hunting or trapping pursuant to the Wildlife Conservation Act or any regulations made or continued under the Act, shall pay a Wildlife Conservation Fund fee (a) in the amount of $13.00 (HST not included) where the person is 65 years of age or older; (b) in the amount of $20.00 (HST not included) where the person is between 16 and 65 years of age; or (c) in the amount of $5.00 (HST not included) for a Family Wildlife Conservation Fund license where the person purchases a family angling license. Exemption (2.1) A person who is exempt from paying a fee for an angling licence pursuant to clause 1(d) or (e) of the Schedule to the Angling Regulations (EC532/19) is exempt from the requirement to pay a fee specified under subsection (2) in respect of that licence. Fees paid to Fund (3) Wildlife Conservation Fund fees collected pursuant to subsection (2) shall be paid into the Wildlife Conservation Fund. Wildlife/Family Wildlife Conservation Fund license (4) Where a person has paid the Wildlife Conservation Fund fee pursuant to subsection (2), or is exempt from that requirement pursuant to subsection (2.1), the Department shall issue (a) a Wildlife Conservation Fund license valid for the person named on the license; or (b) a Family Wildlife Conservation Fund license valid for the person named on the license and the person’s spouse and dependents. c t Current to: April 13, 2024 Page 3 Section 2 Wildlife Conservation Act Wildlife Conservation Fund Regulations Expiry of license (5) Every Wildlife Conservation Fund license expires on March 31 of the year immediately following the issue of the license. Idem (6) Every Family Wildlife Conservation Fund license expires five days after the date of the issue of the license. Prohibition (7) No person shall hunt or trap without being in possession of a valid Wildlife Conservation Fund license. Idem (8) No person shall angle without being in possession of a valid Wildlife Conservation Fund license or a valid Family Wildlife Conservation Fund license. Multiple licenses (9) Where a person holds more than one license pursuant to the Act or any regulations made or continued pursuant to the Act, the person is required to hold only one valid Wildlife Conservation Fund license. Exception (10) These regulations do not apply to aboriginal persons or persons under the age of sixteen years. (EC170/09; 308/13; 325/24) 2.
