F-11, and upon the recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General, Council made the following Order: 1. Codes and Standards The following Codes and Standards are declared to be in force in the province and shall be enforced by the Fire Marshal under the Fire Prevention Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. F-11: (a) 2024 edition of the National Fire Protection Association’s NFPA 1 Uniform Fire Code; (a.1) 2024 edition of the National Fire Protection Association’s NFPA 101 Life Safety Code; (a.2) National Fire Code of Canada 2020; (b) Canadian Standards Association B 139, Installation Code for Oil Burning Equipment; (c) Canadian Standards Association B 149.2, Installation Code for Propane Burning Appliances and Equipment; (d) Canadian Standards Association B 365, Installation Code for Solid Fuel Burning Appliances and Equipment. Related electrical and building codes Any provision of an electrical or building construction safety Code that is referred to in any provision of the Uniform Fire Code, Life Safety Code or National Fire Code referred to in clauses 1(a) and (a.1) (a) is declared to be in force in the province; and (b) shall be enforced by the Fire Marshall under the Fire Prevention Act, to the extent necessary to give effect to any provision of the Uniform Fire Code, Life Safety Code or National Fire Code that refers to the provision of such an electrical or building construction safety Code.
