W-7.1, Council approved the following regulations made by the Workers Compensation Board of Prince Edward Island: 1. Spousal benefits Where, pursuant to subsection 38(1) of the Workers Compensation Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. W-7.1 or its predecessor Act, a surviving spouse in receipt of spousal benefits lost the right to the spousal benefits upon re-marriage prior to April 17, 1985, the surviving spouse shall have the benefits reinstated, without interest, from April 17, 1985 to January 1, 1998, by way of a lump sum payment reflecting the amounts payable during that period.
