P.E.I. 1994, c. 59, Council made the following regulations: 1. The mayor and councillors elect shall before taking office take an oath of office before a commissioner for taking affidavits in the following form: FORM 1 OATH OF OFFICE I, ................................................................, do solemnly swear that I am duly qualified as required by law for the office of Mayor/Councillor (as the case may be) of the City of Summerside to which I have been elected and that I will diligently, faithfully, and impartially and to the best of my ability discharge the several duties which appertain to the said office while I hold same.
