Definitions In this Act (a) “community” means an area other than a municipality; (b) “Minister” means the Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General. R.S.P.E.I. 1974, Cap. Application for fire company Any one or more communities or municipalities may apply to the Minister, on a prescribed form, for the incorporation of a fire company to serve a designated area. Incorporation If the application meets with the approval of the Minister, the Minister shall file the application with the Director of Corporations and thereupon the company becomes a body corporate and has all the powers of a company incorporated under the Companies Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. C-14. R.S.P.E.I. 1974, Cap. R-16, s.3; 1980, c.2, s.3. 4. Regulations The Lieutenant Governor in Council may make such regulations as are considered necessary to carry out this Act.
