H-5. 1. Signs to be exhibited by slow moving vehicles A slow moving vehicle sign is hereby prescribed to be exhibited on any slow moving vehicle or equipment or animal-drawn vehicle or any other machinery designed for use at speeds less than forty kilometres per hour, and shall (a) consist of fluorescent yellow-orange, base down equilateral triangle with a dark reflective border, bonded to a durable rigid weatherproof base surface of aluminium or steel in accordance with shape, minimum dimensions and color arrangement shown in Figure 1; (b) be capable of being entirely visible day and night under normal atmospheric conditions from all distances from the rear between 180 and 30m and when directly in front of the high beam headlamps of a motor vehicle; (c) be rigidly mounted or affixed wherever practical at the centre of the mass to the rear of such vehicle at a distance of 1 - 2 m above the surface of the roadway in the position shown in Figure 1 attached; and (d) conform to the standards set by the Canadian Standards Association standard CSA D198-M77.
