About this statute

This provision requires partnership and certain business-name declarations to be filed, sets what they must contain, and gives the Registrar power to refuse confusing names. The Registrar may renew a declaration for three years, but may remove unrenewed declarations only after the required notice steps. The section also requires the Registrar to keep records and index books, and sets an offence and fine for non-compliance.
