1 SASKATCHEWAN FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMISSION DESIGNATION S-17.2 REG 2 The Saskatchewan Financial Services Commission Designation Regulations being Chapter S-17.2 Reg 2 (effective January 1, 2012). Interpretation 2 In these regulations: (a) “Act” means The Saskatchewan Financial Services Commission Act; (b) “payday lender” means a payday lender as defined in The Payday Loans Act. 11 Jne 2010 cS-17.1 Reg 2 s2. Designated financial services 3 For the purposes of subclause 2(c)(ix) of the Act, carrying on business as a payday lender is an activity designated as a financial service. 11 Jne 2010 cS-17.1 Reg 2 s3. Designated financial services legislation 4 For the purposes of subclause 2(d)(x) of the Act, The Payday Loans Act is designated as financial services legislation. 11 Jne 2010 cS-17.1 Reg 2 s4. Coming into force 5(1) Subject to subsection (2), these regulations come into force on the day on which section 5 of The Payday Loans Act comes into force.
