These regulations name and define the ecological reserve arrangements, and require the Government of Saskatchewan to hold public hearings if the access agreement ends in the way described.

Interpretation 2 In these regulations: (a) “access agreement” means the Access and Co-operation Agreement entered into by the Government of Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan and the Canoe Lake Cree Nation dated May 20, 1997, as set out in Part II of the Appendix; (b) “Act” means The Ecological Reserves Act; (c) “McCusker River Provincial Ecological Reserve” means the lands described in Part I of the Appendix as the McCusker River Provincial Ecological Reserve and established as a provincial ecological reserve pursuant to section 3; (d) “principal agreement” means the agreement entered into by the Government of Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan dated August 4, 1953, and includes any amendments to that agreement. 27 Feb 98 cE-0.01 Reg 5 s2. Designation subject to agreements 4(1) The designations mentioned in section 3 are subject to the terms of the principal agreement and to all rights, title and interest conveyed by that agreement to the Government of Canada. (2) The designation of the McCusker River Provincial Ecological Reserve is subject to the terms of the access agreement and to all rights and interests conveyed by that agreement to the Canoe Lake Cree Nation. 27 Feb 98 cE-0.01 Reg 5 s4. Part II of the Appendix to The Provincial Ecological Reserves Regulations is on file at the office of the Registrar of Regulations, Legislative Building, Regina, Saskatchewan, and may be inspected between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, not including statutory holidays.
