These regulations protect listed wild species at risk and prohibit disturbing their dens, nests, dams, or usual places of habitation, except where the director issues a licence in the stated damage-to-property case.

Interpretation 2 In these regulations, “Act” means The Wildlife Act, 1997. 29 Jan 99 c.W-13.11 Reg 1 s2. Listed wild species at risk 4(1) The wild species at risk listed in Appendix 1 are designated as extirpated. (2) The wild species at risk listed in Appendix 2 are designated as endangered. Protected vertebrate wild species at risk 5(1) Subject to subsection (2), no person shall disturb the den, house, nest, dam or usual place of habitation of any wild species at risk that is listed in: (a) Appendix 1, Table 1; or (b) Appendix 2, Table 1.
