Statute overview

About this statute

This regulation sets rules for highway signs that are not government-provided and for certain government-provided visitor signs, including permits, sign types, and where different signs may be installed. This provision sets permit rules for several sign types, lets the Director control locations and conditions, and gives the Director powers to remove unsafe or unauthorized signs. The Director may dispose of a sign if it is not returned within 30 days after the owner is contacted; some older Whitehorse signs do not have to be removed until an earlier specified event.
