Statute overview

About this statute

This Act amends Yukon’s Business Corporations Act, including rules about corporate names, registered offices, records offices, and electronic documents. This amendment changes Yukon Business Corporation Act rules on corporate records, share capital, share issuance, share splits, subsidiary shareholdings, and dividend/payment limits. This provision amends corporate governance rules, including director requirements, notice deadlines, shareholder proposals, and disclosure of material contracts. A director may use a business opportunity only with authorization, and the section sets disclosure, voting, and record-keeping rules for that authorization. This part amends Yukon corporate rules on shareholder resolutions, proxies, meetings, financial statements, and auditors.
