Regulations Prescribing Networks (Copyright Act)

Regulations Prescribing Networks (Copyright Act) His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, pursuant to section 30.8a and subsection 62(1)b of the Copyright Act, hereby makes the annexed Regulations Prescribing Networks (Copyright Act). S.C. 1997, c. 24, s. 18(1) S.C. 1997, c. 24, s. 37(2) For the purpose of subsection 30.8(9) of the Copyright Act, the following are prescribed networks: networks that are networks within the meaning of the definition network in subsection 2(1) of the Broadcasting Act; and networks that consist of two or more programming undertakings that are owned by the same person or group of persons and that have a practice of common programming or an arrangement by which they share programs, as the case may be. These Regulations come into force on October 1, 1999.
