Certain Chloroprene Sheets Remission Order

Certain Chloroprene Sheets Remission Order Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 115 of the Customs Tariffa, hereby makes the annexed Certain Chloroprene Sheets Remission Order. S.C. 1997, c. 36 Subject to section 2, remission is hereby granted of the customs duties paid or payable under the Customs Tariff on chloroprene sheets, with a knitted nylon fabric laminated to both sides, that weigh more than 1500g/m2 and that contain less than 50% by weight of textile material. The remission is granted on condition that the chloroprene sheets were imported into Canada during the period commencing on January 1, 1998 and ending on December 31, 2005; a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within four years of the date that the chloroprene sheets are imported. This Order comes into force on the day on which it is registered.
