In-Transit Steel Goods Remission Order

In-Transit Steel Goods Remission Order Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 115a of the Customs Tariffb, makes the annexed In-Transit Steel Goods Remission Order. S.C. 2005, c. 38, par. 145(2)(j) S.C. 1997, c. 36 Remission Subject to subsection (2), remission is granted of the surtax paid or payable under the Order Imposing a Surtax on the Importation of Certain Steel Goods1 in respect of goods that were in transit to Canada before October 25, 2018. SOR/2018-206 Conditions The remission is granted if the good is imported into Canada on or after October 25, 2018; and a claim for remission is made to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness within two years after the date of importation. Coming into force This Order comes into force on the day on which it is registered.
