New Brunswick Potato Marketing Levies (Interprovincial and Export) Order — No. 2

Order Respecting Fixing, Imposing and Collecting Levies on Potatoes Produced in New Brunswick and Marketed in Interprovincial and Export Trade The New Brunswick Potato Agency, pursuant to sections 3* and 4 of the New Brunswick Potato Order, made by Order in Council P.C. 1980-2344 of September 5, 1980**, hereby makes the annexed Order respecting fixing, imposing and collecting levies on potatoes produced within a designated area in New Brunswick and marketed in interprovincial and export trade. SOR/85-144, 1985 Canada Gazette Part II, p. 1144 SOR/80-726, 1980 Canada Gazette Part II, p. 3171 Florenceville, New Brunswick, May 31, 1988 This Order may be cited as the New Brunswick Potato Marketing Levies (Interprovincial and Export) Order — No. 2. In this Order, Commodity Board means the New Brunswick Potato Agency; (Office) designated area[Repealed, SOR/2020-127, s. 1] person[Repealed, SOR/90-692, s. 1] producer means a person who produces potatoes over at least four acres in any year. (producteur) This Order applies to the marketing of potatoes in interprovincial and export trade and to persons and property situated in the Province of New Brunswick. Every producer shall pay to the Commodity Board a levy of $16.50 for each acre used in the production of potatoes by the producer or on their behalf. A producer shall remit the levy referred to in section 4 to the Commodity Board within 30 days after the producer has sold his entire crop of potatoes.
