About this statute

This provision sets rules for trademark filings, communications, representation, fees, service, and opposition proceedings before the Registrar. This provision sets procedural rules for trademark opposition, Protocol applications, fees, confidentiality, and Registrar powers. The Registrar must make specified changes to Protocol registrations when the International Bureau notifies a cancellation, correction, ownership change, or non-renewal, and a holder may file a transformation application within 3 months after a cancellation to revive the former application or registration.
