Financial Institutions Depositors Compensation Act

The Act lets eligible depositors apply to the Minister for compensation for certain uninsured deposits, sets rules for payments and set-off, gives related powers to the Minister, liquidators, the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Governor in Council, and requires applications by April 1, 1986.
