This provision defines certain agreements, assigns responsibility for them to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and sets out several commencement rules fixed by order of the Governor in Council.
A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2017 and other measures Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows: Short title This Act may be cited as the Budget Implementation Act, 2017, No. 2. [Amendments] [Amendment] [Related Provision] Enactment of Act The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Agreement Act, whose text is as follows and whose schedule is set out in the schedule to this Act, is enacted: Definition of Agreements In this Division, Agreements means the following agreements, as amended from time to time: the Administration Agreement for the Financial Support of the Private Sector Window of the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (TFC-3), entered into between Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, as represented by the Minister of Finance, and the International Finance Corporation on March 14, 2011; the Administration Agreement for the Financial Support of the Financial Mechanisms for Climate Change (FMCC) Facility — Concessional Finance (TFC-4), entered into between Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, as represented by the Minister of Finance, and the International Finance Corporation on March 8, 2011; and the Administration Agreement for the Financial Support of the Financial Mechanisms for Climate (FMCC) Change Facility — Technical Assistance (TF 071589) entered into between Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, as represented by the Minister of Finance, and the International Finance Corporation on March 8, 2011. Powers, duties and functions The Minister of Foreign Affairs is responsible for the Agreements. Share — acquisition For the purposes of section 90 of the Financial Administration Act, shares of a corporation that, on acquisition, would be held by, on behalf of or in trust for the Crown may be acquired in the course of the administration of the Agreements. Coming into force This Division comes into force on a day to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council. [Note: Section 205 repealed before coming into force, see 2018, c. 27, s. 513; sections 206 to 209 in force September 1, 2019, see SI/2019-31.] The Canadian Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act is enacted as follows: Repeal The Timber Marking Act, chapter T-11 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, is repealed. The Agreement on Internal Trade Implementation Act, chapter 17 of the Statutes of Canada, 1996, is repealed. July 1, 2017 This Division is deemed to have come into force on July 1, 2017.
