Special Status Order, 1982

Order Respecting Persons Declared To Have a Special Status His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources, pursuant to subsection 45(6) of the Canadian Ownership and Control Determination Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order respecting persons declared to have a special status. This Order may be cited as the Special Status Order, 1982. The following persons are declared to have a special status within the meaning of subsection 45(6) of the Canadian Ownership and Control Determination Act: Caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec Canterra Energy Ltd. Nova Scotia Resources (Ventures) Ltd. Petro-Canada Limited Petro-Canada Exploration Inc. Société québécoise d’initiatives pétrolières Exploration SOQUIP Inc.
